Lots to do

Hello everyone!

I thought I'd stop in and let you all know, I haven't deserted my blog! I have had to put card making on the back burner for a bit. I've got to get my canning done before the fruit goes bad!
I'm still trying to do cards in between batches of peaches.  :)

I'll be back!

Time for something different....

I got brave and made an easel card! I've wanted to make one for a long time now. This didn't start out as an easel card, but that's what it ended up being!  lol
It was actually fun to make, so I'll make more in the future!

I 'might' have added a few to many snowflakes....?  lol

The blue base and the blue back are really the same color, in fact its even the same piece of card stock. The light makes it look different.

I'm going to enter this in the following challenges....
Paper Sundaes  3 or more Embellishments   I've used Embroidery, Ribbon, Peel offs & glitter
Everybody Art Challenge  Other Card form

Another parchment tree

I made another parchment tree. I used a different border this time. I love doing grid/cut work on parchment!
The tree is printed on the parchment before I start the grid work. All the lighter areas on the tree are embossed from behind.

I've entered this in the following challenges...
YNS Challenge  Anything goes
Crafty Creations   White plus one color
Paper Sundaes  Christmas

These are so fun to do!  If you want instructions and the tree images go to Vickie's blog! She has lots more images.

Parchment

Good morning everyone!

On Vickie's blog she has taught us how to make grid borders, and she has supplied us with some awesome images to use. I seriously messed up the lettering. Now I know how to do it right, my next one will be much better!  :)
This is my version of one of the images, and the border I used is from Piet and Annie Jensse. The border is number 258.

Thanks for all your tutorials and help Vickie!

A cute story

Kids do the funniest things!
Yesterday 2 of my grandkids were here, Carson and Sophia...

See how cute they are!  :)  Carson is 7 and Sophia is almost 2.
They were coloring an adorable digi stamp I downloaded from Delicious Doodles during their birthday bash. Thank you for the free digi stamp, it is just so cute! I wish I would have been able to get all the Birthday Bash digi's!
The kids thought this little penguin was just to cute. Here is Carson's pic...

While they were coloring the penguin my little pug dog, Shadow,

was sitting on the floor staring at me. When I asked her what she wanted Carson said "She wants to color with us grandma."  Sophia got up and brought Shadow a crayon and tried to put it in her paw. I guess they really wanted Shadow to color also.  :)
Shadow didnt use the crayon, but a little later on she got in the mud and then she 'colored' on the picture!  lol

Thats my cute story, thanks for listening.

Remember when....

Remember when you wanted to be a princess? Well I still want to be a princess!!  LOL
My daughter in law has a niece that loves to play princess. She asked me to make a card for her with princess's on it.  This is what I came up with...

I've entered a challenge at...
Paper Play  Pink to make the boys wink

This was a fun card to make. I love stitching (of course) and the curly patterns stitch up so fast!

*hugs*

To much fun....

Well I must say I have been having way to much fun playing with cards!  lol
I've been trying to make my Christmas cards early this year.  So here is another Christmas one.  :)

I decided to enter this is a challenge...
A Spoonfull of Sugar  Christmas

My grandson loves skateboarding, so I made him this card for his birthday.
He liked the words 'in your face'!
I've entered this one in
http://blog.icopic.com/   Color challenge

On both cards I used peel offs (stars, snowflakes and small stocking), I've had the stitching patterns for years so I dont remember where I  got them from.  I found the images online, they are not stamps. Getting stamps and a good coloring medium is on my 'to do/wish' list.   :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I'm back!!

Hello!  Well I'm going to try, again, to make this work!  I'll start adding some of the cards I have made and the new ones I make.
I'll show you all this one first... I used Vickie's 'Etched Glass' technique. It sure makes your cards beautiful! You should all give it a try! You will love it!
Okay, here is my card.....

 Hope you like it!

Till next time....
